Theoretical and experimental investigation on the begabiour of post-tensioned flat slabs with unbonded tendons. Objectives, description of tests and previous stuctural analysis

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to presnt the objectives ot the theoretical and experimental research project on ""Flat slabs with unbonded tendons"", which is currently being debeloped at the ETSICCP of Barcelona, as well as to present the experimental program which is planned to be carried out. A description of the first specimen consisting on a slab of 10m x 8m x 0,14 m supported on 9 columns is made, explainng the criteria used for its design, construction, loading and measuring systems, as well as the specific characteristics of the laboratory where the tests are being carried out. Some comments relative to the analytical modem used to predict the experimental results are also made.
