Design of composite cross sectins at Ultimate Limit States

Abstract

General application rules and principles for the design of composite steel-concrete cross sections in bending, given in the EC4, are described. The paper raises the question of consistency and general applicability of this approach in the scope of composite steel-concrete structures.
