Precast concrete bridges built with one single parabolic box girder

Abstract

A new solution for overpasses on roads and motorways is described. The solution is fully concrete precast with decks composed by one single open box girder connected to an upper slab. In the longitudinal sense the system provides structural continuity. The advantages of this particular precast procedure are shown for this bridge morphology. The erection topics are explained in a graphical way.
