Abstract

In the central part of the province of Jaén, on a road with little traffic, there is a historic reinforced concrete bridge. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century and is still in use today. This bridge has an unusual configuration, being made up of straight sections of triangular reinforced concrete beams. Despite being a very original work, relevant to the History of Engineering in Spain, its knowledge has been limited until now.

This article aims an introduction to its history and a technical description of its configuration and the particularities of its elements, based on a global review that includes the original design approaches and the modifications introduced during its construction
